The First Fascia Research Congress in Boston in 2007 inaugurated what will be a continuing series of international conferences dedicated to the newly emerging field of "Fascia Studies." 2012 Fascia Research Congress
The Third International Fascia Research Congress is scheduled for March 28-30, 2012 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Workshops before and after the main proceedings are also planned. This conference will be hosted by the Massage Therapists Association of British Columbia (MTABC).
The selection of the MTABC by the directors of the Fascia Research Congress and the congress governing sponsor, the Ida P. Rolf Research Foundation,
is a recognition of the excellence, quality and commitment of BC's Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs).
The 2012 Fascia Congress will, as always, center on the latest and best research on the human fasciae. Additionally---and recognizing the interests of clinicians in gaining insights that will bear on practical applications---the program will be designed to include more presentation time to relating the research findings to clinical issues, particularly the practical applications of fascial layers.

2009 Fascia Research Congress
Join us in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, October 27-30, 2009 for the Second Fascia Research Congress at Vrije Universiteit. Hosted by Faculteit Bewegingswetenschappen (Faculty of Human Movement Sciences).
The Scientific Chair of the conference is Peter Huijing, PhD a physiologist and keynote presenter from the first fascia
research conference who is the recipient of the prestigious Muybridge Award for his work on fascial connections and force transmission within muscle tissue. The Administrative Chair is Peter Hollander, PhD who was dean of the School of Movement Sciences from 1998 to 2007 and has been active in sports related exercise physiology with an emphasis on swimming.

2007 Fascia Research Congress
The First International Fascia Research Congress, Boston, MA, October 4-5, 2007, at The
Conference Center, Harvard Medical School. The sold-out conference was attended by 650 persons from 28 countries. Of the 100 presentations at the conference 2/3 were by investigative teams which included BOTH physicians or scientists AND clinical practitioners. The conference was recorded and DVD replays have been presented at 35 locations worldwide.
