Cash prizes of $1000 and $500 will be awarded by the Journal of Bodywork & Movement Therapies (JBMT) for abstracts accepted for the Fascia Research Congress that are judged to have the most clinical relevance. JBMT believes that it is important to encourage investigation of fascia – in its multiple dimensions and roles – both by scientists and clinicians.
The abstract does not need to be specifically clinically focused, since translational research is capable of extracting clinical relevance from many pure science studies – for example of tissue behavior such as force transmission. In addition to the cash prize, the author(s) of both winning abstracts will have the opportunity to publish their work in Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies.
The winners will be chosen by JBMT’s Associate Editors, from abstracts selected for oral or poster presentations by the Conference’s Scientific Committe. The prizes will be presented at the Fifth International Fascia Research Congress in November.
In addition, awards will be presented in the following categories as selected by the Scientific Committee and Plenary Speakers:
- Best Basic Science Abstract Award
- First, second, and third place for the Best Posters
